Recarlo and Eco-Age Together for a Sustainable Supply Chain

Paolo and Giorgio Re, owners of Recarlo, the historical Valenza company, and Livia Firth, Founder of Eco-Age, have come together to launch the new project entitled "Our Promise to You".

A corporate strategy aimed at supply chain sustainability and one which strengthens Recarlo’s longstanding commitment to the Valenza district, the heart of goldsmith craftsmanship whose heritage is the best guarantee of excellence and authenticity. A plan studied down to the tiniest detail in order to fulfil a precious promise, like the vow made by those who give a solitaire ring or another splendid Recarlo jewel.

«Every item of our jewelry is worked by local expert artisans, masters of an art that has been perfected from generation to generation and which Recarlo has helped to preserve» says Giorgio Re. «But our commitment could not stop there. A Recarlo jewel purchased as a gift is a symbol of a promise of love. And that’s exactly how it will be for us too: with Our Promise to You, we want to fulfil a promise of love, love for all our supply chain, for the people who work along it and for the environment. That’s the only way we can truly honor the values in which we so profoundly believe.»

Over ten years ago, Recarlo embarked on a path to make its own practices more sustainable. The company reached its first important achievement by obtaining certification from the Responsible Jewellery Council, and then went on to join the Kimberley Process, an initiative focused on increasing transparency in the diamond industry. Moreover, the company is also part of Fondazione Mani Intelligenti, a project that aims to train new generations of master goldsmiths in the Valenza area.

With Our Promise to You, the Valenza company reasserts its desire to contribute towards changing the jewelry sector for the better. Tradition and craftsmanship will still be the center of the new strategy which will be based on three fundamental cornerstones: People, Planet and Product.
